Now that I've told you some of the challenges that I face on a daily basis, I can tell you a little bit more about who I am. As I said before, my name is Jenelle.  However that is not the only name that I answer to; my family and friends call me Nelly, Jelly Bean, Double J, or Transformer, depending on the day. I am well-liked in my community; every time I turn around someone is saying "Hi Jenelle!" This is especially true in my school. I have a lot of friends! When I meet people I tend to connect with them instantly. My friends become my family very quickly. One of the things that I enjoy doing is to help other people, even though it is difficult for me to act on my intent to help them physically because of my cerebral palsy. I believe that because of my disabllty and everything else that I have been through, I have a really big heart. My friends and family say that I have a way with words. If you need to vent about things that are bothering you, I am your girl! You can always tell me what the problem is, and I will try to help you in any way I can because I can relate to that trouble in some way.

 

    I am a very hard working person as well, I have to work twice as hard as most people to accomplish  everyday tasks that I am given, such as walking, standing,  sitting , writing and even some times talking. These tasks  are difficult for me because I have cerebral palsy , it may take me time to complete the task to the best of my ability. Certain tasks may be difficult for me, but I do not give up on anything unless I am tired, even then I do not give up easily. I like to be as independent as I can. I work as hard as I have to until I have mastered certain tasks. I am a very stubborn and determent person. Even though things are hard for me to do sometimes I do not give up easily because, if I allow myself to give up to easily, I would never get anywhere in life.  So never give up, you can do anything when you put your mind to it.
